christmas morning

Another fun, typical Christmas morning around here. Although I think if it hadn't been Brock's first Christmas, I may have forgotten the camera all together. :(

Trey, that really is a smile
giving hugs
 twins :)
 opening his very first present
although this is how he was for most of the morning, crawling off to find something more exciting

temple square

So I'm not sure why I suddenly stopped blogging... but I today decided to prove that we were indeed alive in December.
So here's some pictures of our trip to Temple Square.

So my boys were being so funny and asked me to take tons of pictures of them. "Take a picture mom!" "Now take one of me here!" "Now right here mom!"
That was definitely not normal, but I'll take all the help I can get.

We met my brother and his family there, which is always fun! :)
(I'm borrowing this picture from their blog, because apparently I only take pictures when my boys ask me.)
All of us, minus the picture taking Seth
My BIG family. :) I'm sad Brock's face isn't even showing but he had totally just passed out. As in one minute he was looking all around and then suddenly his head just smacked into my shoulder and he was 'gone'.

1st annual cousins gingerbread party

Late in December I decided it would be super fun to get my boys together with their cousins to make gingerbread houses. It was super fun and I'm sure it will only get more fun as they all get a little older.
(right now their cousins are 20 months, 7 months and 5 months :), although the 5 month old couldn't make it, but we forgave him ;)

Apparently my camera (which actually used to by my sister's) had a dirty smudge on it and I didn't notice. Bummer.
On a side note, Seth completely spoiled me (and shocked me, although the shock came a few days early when I accidentally discovered the present) for Christmas with a crazy, nice camera. I'm still in the reading the instruction manual phase, but hopefully soon my picture quality will greatly improve.

easton's christmas party

I was making invitations for Seth's Christmas Party for his Young Men. Easton was in the room and kept saying it wasn't fair that dad would get a Christmas Party and we wouldn't. I told him if he planned one - he could have one. While I was still working on the invitations, he jumped on the computer, printed off invitations and planned the entire thing. I thought it was way too cute. I was also relieved to find out he was only inviting the family and I wasn't going to have to either have a party for a bunch of friends or tell him he actually couldn't do it.

Sadly, I did not take pictures of the party cause sometimes I'm just spacey like that. But we really did everything he planned and had TONS of fun. :)

couple christmas pics

Christmas morning, showing off his R2D2. I really think he believes he needs to close his eyes for pictures because he closes his eyes before he even smiles.

Doesn't look so excited, huh?

He was so excited about his BYU hat, shirt and football that he wouldn't let me take a picture of him until he put them on.
All worn out from opening presents, he fell asleep while sucking on a treat from his stocking.

christmas fun

Now that Christmas is almost here and gone... I'm finally getting around to posting a couple of the things we did this month.

Making Gingerbread Houses and Cookies
that I made from scratch!! I was pretty impressed with myself when they stayed up overnight (and are still standing today). And surprisingly it was not difficult and TONS cheaper than the kits we bought last year. I told Seth I'll be an expert at baking them (because there were definitely still some issues) in 3 years, so if anyone wants help then, feel free to ask. ;)

We did the cookies and set the houses up one night, so we could make sure they would actually stand. And decorated the houses the next night.

Decorating the Tree
I know the pictures are really dark, but I liked how these looked better than the ones with flash., that made everything too bright.

Seeing the Lights at Temple Square

My 5 handsome boys. Can't believe there will be 6 of them in less than 4 months!!

He was mad we were trying to take his picture instead of letting him run around.

Christmas Morning

We had an absolutely wonderful Christmas. In addition to being spoiled by family, we were blessed by many people who didn't even let us know who they were. So amazing.

A few pictures from Christmas morning

New Pajamas

Every Christmas Nana (Seth's mom) makes the boys the most adorable pajamas! I love them and they quickly become the boys' favorite jammies. So I just thought I'd show them off.

Just a little too big. :) I gave her the measurements... oops.
