Randomness

Easton did this all on his own and when he saw that I was looking at it, he said "That's for just in case someone doesn't know where the bathroom is." (Yes, that is the bathroom door on the right. Hopefully no one gets lost on the way.)

Who needs a stuffed animal?

Conversation at dinner last night:

Easton: Mom, I think even when I'm ten I'll remember I don't want to get married. I'll always remember that.
Me: Okay.
Cole: Mom, do I have to get married?
Me: Not if you don't want to.
Cole: Good. Cause I never want to get married.
Easton: Yeah. You and me will never get married, so we'll be brothers forever. We can live together. And move out together. Huh mom? We'll have to move out when we're older.
Me: Yep. Someday you'll have to move out.
Easton: That will make me sad. Oh wait! Can we take the Wii when we move out?
Me: I guess you probably can.
Easton: Yes! Then we can play the Wii whenever we want!
Cole: YES!!
I'm okay with a 4 and 5 year old thinking a Wii is just about the coolest thing in the world. Their feelings just better change when they reach the marrying age.

Wordless Wednesday

This is something I've seen lots of others do and decided to join in the fun. It's just a fun way to show a picture and not have to write or explain anything. I realize I'm using words on this post :) but it will be the only time.

This is where I first saw the idea.

Just wanted to share...

Even though I've recently become obsessed with entering (and winning!) giveaways and contests online, I've refrained from posting anything on the blog because I didn't want to be annoying. But I decided I did want to share this one thing because it's super easy and something everyone can earn. (Feel free to close this page now and I won't be offended at all. :)

I learned about SwagBucks a while ago and have been trying it out to make sure I knew what I was talking about before telling anyone else about it. So I can tell you it is for real, it's not some silly scam that won't really work and it is super easy. It's really this simple-

Earn free stuff just by searching online!!

Swagbucks is basically a search engine just like Yahoo or Google where when you search for something you have a chance to win “swagbucks” (points) to use towards prizes. You will not win swagbucks every time but you will win often. They offer tons of different prizes, at different point levels. I personally think I'm just going to use mine for Amazon.com gift cards. (Right now I actually have enough to get a gift card, but have decided to just hold on to them for a while to see if I find something more enticing than Amazon.com or if a prize I want goes on 'sale'.

Personally, we just made swagbucks our homepage and use it every time we're searching online. I will even use it instead of typing in a website just so I can earn more points. Like if I was going to go to Target's website, instead of typing in www.target.com at the top (don't I sound so technically savvy?), I would seach for target on swagbucks.com and then click the link to get to Target. It does maybe take a tiny bit longer, but for me it has been worth it.

Anyways, so there you go. Try it out or don't. I just wanted to let you know in case you hadn't heard about it.

Happy Birthday Peyton!!

Happy Birthday to the cutest two year old!! Peyton is such a sweet boy. He is constantly telling us all "I love you" just out of the blue. He is always giving hugs and kisses and just putting his arm around our neck. He is so passionate and does a great job of always letting us know how he feels. He is also quite the comedian. He loves laughing and loves making us laugh. We couldn't have picked out a more amazing son and brother if we tried. :)

And to think I was worried...

I was very worried that when Trey arrived, Peyton would have a very hard time. Peyton is such a mommy's boy. But he has absolutely shocked me with how well he's done. He ADORES Trey! And couldn't care less that I have to give Trey most of my attention. He is always running up to him to say "Hi Twey. Koot Tewy!", giving him lots of kisses and making sure he has at least one blanket. It is so sweet.

He spread this blanket on him and then just sat there with his arm around him, talking to him for a while

Smiling (and squinting) for the camera

Fourth of July

For the fourth of July, we went to the Air Force Museum, which was really cool. (And free! :) And then just did "fireworks" at our house. I didn't really feel like staying out late with Trey, (I even made us do fireworks while it was light out so the boys could go to bed on time) so I didn't even look for a big firework show, but after our mostly lame fireworks this year, I think we will have to go to a show next year for sure. No, Peyton is not just accidentally blinking - that is how he thinks he needs to smile now (squinting his eyes)

The boys were not always impressed either
Although we did have a few they enjoyed

Trey's Arrival

Trey Jacob finally arrived on Friday June 26th at 11:45 a.m.!! One whole day before his due date! :)

I started having contractions on Thursday night and was pretty certain I was in labor but didn't want to rush to the hospital too fast. I stayed at home and just decided if the contractions got so bad I couldn't sleep at all, then we'd go but I was able to sleep on and off for most the night.

We finally decided to go to the hospital and arrived at 9:30 a.m., had to fill out some paperwork and then wait for a nurse to be ready. The first time a nurse was able to check me, I was dilated to a "6 or 7". They all started working quickly to get everything set up and get my epidural - oh how I LOVE those things! In very little time (just over 2 hours since arriving at the hospital) -and 3 whole pushes- Trey graced us with his presence. The cord was wrapped around his neck twice and he came out very purple looking -at least to me- but the doctor and nurses quickly assured us that everything was totally fine since we had been monitoring his heart rate the entire time and it was always at a good rate.

And he has since proven I had nothing to worry about, he is as perfect as can be!

His older brothers absolutely adore him! They continually call him "the cutest baby in the whole world" and say "He's even cuter than before!"
